we don't forget Halabja

Halabja is the city that was murdered by the toppled Baath regime of Iraq in March 16th, 1988. The murder and genocide of Halabja is very different from all of the other sacrifices by the Kurdish people. It was the first time in the history of humanity that one of the most advanced weapons of mass destruction be used (chemical weapons) by who was later infamously known as Chemical Ali. In a very short period of time more than 5000 people were murdered by chemical gas. In addition to the known numbers of those who were mass murdered, the real numbers of those who still suffer from the consequences of the gas attack are not known. Many still suffer from respiratory, eye, skin and mental problem as a result of the exposure to the Sarin gas used during the attack. This includes new-born babies who are born disabled or misconfigured.
On the political level, Halabja is the city that introduced the Kurds and their struggles to the outside world. It is the city that transformed the Kurdish cause from one stage to another more advanced one. However, it is very disturbing that Halabja is only remembered during the anniversary of the attack and its consequences. Following the anniversary the lives of the victims and the residents of Halabja return to business as usual which is characterised by the lack of services and negligence in part of the authorities.
We hope that this anniversary does not pass by exactly like the previous ones with lip services and bouquets of flower on the memorial of the city, but rather there should be real attention and care provided to the victims
and their families.

بەفەرمانی عەلی حەسەن مەجید"ناسراو بەعەلی کیمیاوی" هەڵەبجەیان پێ شەهید کرد ئەویش بەکارهێنانی چەکی کیمیاوی بوو بۆ یەکەمین جار.کەلەکەمترین ماوەدا هەزاران لە دانیشتوانی هەلەبجەو دەوروبەری بونەقوربانی دەستی ڕژێمی ڕووخاوی بەعس.

دیارە ژمارەی قوربانیەکان زیاتر لە پێنج هەزار شەهیدە وە ژمارەی شەهیدەکان جێگیر نیە چونکە هەزاران کەسی تر بەدەستی پاشماوەی ئەوچەکە کومەڵ کوژەوە دەناڵن

کە لە نێو ریزی بریندارەکاندا مندالانی تازە لەدایك بووش هەبوو. هەلەبجە ئەوشارەبووکە کوردی بەدنیا ناساند خەباتی کورد لەقۆناغیکی ترەوەگۆڕی بۆ قۆناغێکیتر کە هەموو میللەتانی دنیا کوردیان ناسی لە رێگای زامەکانی ، هەلەبجە خۆری ئازادی بۆ کوردستان دەستەبەرکرد. بەڵام جێگەیداخە هەلەبجە تەنها لەساڵیادی شەهید بوونەکەیدا بیردەکەوێتەوە دوای ساڵیادەکەی

وەك یادگاری دەی لەبیریان دەچێتەوە وه هەڵیدەگرن بۆ ساڵیادی داهاتووی.

لەساڵیادی شەهیدکردنی هەلەبجەی بووکی کوردستان سەری ڕێزونەوازش بۆ سەرجەم شەهیدانی هەلەبجەو سەرجەم شەهیدانی کوردستان دادەنەوێنیم.

هیوادارین تەنها بۆیادکردنەوە و گوڵدانان لەسەرمەزاری شەهیدانی ئەوشارە یادی هەڵەبجە نەکرێت .بەڵکو یادکردنەوەی هەڵەبجە بریتیە

لە ئاسوودەکردنی ڕۆحی قوربانیانی هەلەبجە وساڕێژکردنی برینەکانی هەلەبجە یەویش بەئاوڕدانەوە لەوشارەو خزمەتکردنی وقەرەبووکردنەوەی
